Halloween Costumes
Halloween Night is the Most popular time for people to wear a costume. It was originally practiced to scare away the ghosts that were believed to walk the earth on All Hallows Eve the holiday eventually transformed into a fun night where any type of costume could be worn. Select the Halloween tab on the menu to find more Halloween costume ideas.
Oktoberfest Costumes
Oktoberfest is usually thought of as a Bavarian Holiday but it has been celebrated all across the USA for 50 years. The second largest Oktoberfest Celebration is in Kitchner- Waterloo, Ontario. That’s right. The second largest Oktoberfest Celebration is in Canada. For more information click the Oktoberfest Tab in the menu.
Dance Costumes
There are several Dance categories that costumes are used in. There are a multitude of dance studios that put on shows and attend competitions. Many women take Belly Dance lessons for fum, as part of their culture, exercise or to lose weight. Most of the cheerleader competitions i have seen would be more of a dance contest in my opinion. Ialmost forgot the Tango and Flamenco dance competitions I have seen on Tv. As always click the Dance tab on the menu for more.
Renaissance Costumes
Renaissance Faires are also celebrated across the USA. The Costumes are based on the 16th century. Mainly consisting of Kings, Queens, Knights, and Ladies. Of course no Royal court would be complete without the court jesters, page boys and serving wenches.
Mardi Gras Costumes
Mardi Gras in New Orleans and Carnival in Rio de Janeiro are celebrations held before the start of Lent which starts on Ash Wednesday. The party starts several days before Ash Wednesday and ends the midnight before Ash Wednesday Starts. Click the Mardi Gras tab on the menu.
Christmas Costumes
Xmas would not be Christmas without Santa Claus and his elves. Of course Santa would not be Jolly Ol Saint Nick if not for Mrs Claus, or would he?
Easter Bunny Costumes
I remember going on Easter Egg Hunts when i was a kid at the park in town. That was a lot of fun and a fond memory of mine. If you have not taken your kids on an Easter Egg Hunt then do so. They will enjoy it when they are young and appreciate that you took them when they are older.
